Supplier Code of Conduct
Last Updated: 18 February 2026
1. Introduction
Tayside Technical Services ("TTS") is committed to the highest standards of ethical conduct and social and environmental responsibility. We expect our suppliers, their employees, agents, and subcontractors (collectively, "Suppliers") to share this commitment. This Supplier Code of Conduct outlines the minimum standards we require from our Suppliers.
2. Legal and Ethical Standards
Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where they operate. This includes, but is not limited to, laws related to labour, health and safety, environmental protection, and anti-corruption.
3. Labour and Human Rights
TTS expects its Suppliers to uphold the human rights of workers, and to treat them with dignity and respect. This includes the following:
- Freely Chosen Employment: Forced, bonded or indentured labour or involuntary prison labour is not to be used.
- Child Labour Avoidance: Suppliers shall not use child labour. The term "child" refers to any person under the age of 15, or under the age for completing compulsory education, or under the minimum age for employment in the country, whichever is greatest.
- Working Hours: Working hours are not to exceed the maximum set by local law.
- Wages and Benefits: Compensation paid to workers shall comply with all applicable wage laws, including those relating to minimum wages, overtime hours and legally mandated benefits.
- Humane Treatment: There is to be no harsh and inhumane treatment, including any sexual harassment, sexual abuse, corporal punishment, mental or physical coercion or verbal abuse of workers: nor is there to be the threat of any such treatment.
- Non-Discrimination: Suppliers should be committed to a workforce free of harassment and unlawful discrimination.
4. Health and Safety
Suppliers must provide a safe and healthy work environment to prevent accidents and injury to health arising out of, linked with, or occurring in the course of work or as a result of the operation of employer facilities.
5. Environment
Suppliers must comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations. We encourage our suppliers to operate in an environmentally responsible manner and to minimise the impact of their operations on the environment.
6. Business Integrity
- Anti-Corruption: Suppliers must not engage in any form of corruption, extortion, or embezzlement. Bribes or other means of obtaining undue or improper advantage are not to be promised, offered, authorised, given or accepted.
- Intellectual Property: Intellectual property rights are to be respected; transfer of technology and know-how is to be done in a manner that protects intellectual property rights.
- Confidentiality: Suppliers must safeguard TTS's confidential information and not disclose it without authorisation.
7. Compliance and Reporting
Suppliers are expected to maintain records to demonstrate compliance with this Code. Suppliers must promptly inform TTS of any significant breach of this Code. We reserve the right to verify compliance with this Code through audits and inspections.
